Good Reading

I don’t know if everyone surfs the divorce/blended family sites as much as I do.  I thought I’d pass along a few good reads I’ve encountered over the past couple weeks.

Mandy at Since My Divorce hosted some guest posts regarding the universal truths about divorce.  I was honored to be asked to participate and delighted to share my Top 5 for this project.  This theme was a bit of a turn from the usual site content.  Mandy typically interviews women about their specific experiences and how they’ve grown- there’s a lot of wisdom and inspiration to be found within those stories.

The Now Is Good Blog recently featured 100 Divorce Perks– ah, how I love to celebrate the happy things that come from divorce!  And #101 was pretty darn good too… check out her post about meeting Willie Nelson (of course, I only like that one because I’m into classic redneck music)!

Over at Co-Parenting 101, Deesha chatted with the stepmother of her children in response to “A Sassy Single Mamma:  What She Wants Stepmoms To Know” The conversation between Deesha and Sherry took place on July 1, July 5 and concluded on July 7.  The exchange reminds us that each family situation is different, individuals have varying expectations and it’s imperative to discuss these matters to determine the best course for your family.
And this is totally unrelated to My Favorite Subject….  Did you know you can research the toxicity of your favorite beauty products at cosmeticsdatabase.com?  Based on what I learned there, I’ve decided to switch shampoo and sunscreen!
